Londerzeel - feasibility study and full scale remediation of Phthalates

At the Londerzeel project, a large LNAPL of phtalates is present due to a fire incident in the 80's. Given the specific pfysico-chemical characteristics of the phtalates a feasibility study was conducted to assess free phases separation, LNAPL mobility and biodegradibility of the phtalate contamination.

Based on the positive outcome of the feasibility study, Greensoil prepared a full scale remediation concept based on a combination of free phase removal by bioslurping and biosparging for residual, non mobile product.

The RAP based on our remedial concpet is currently being prepared. Full scale remedial works are expected to start in Q2 2018.
