Embracing the CO2-Performance Ladder

At GreenSoil Group, sustainability isn't just apart of our mission—it's the foundation of everything we do. We lists our GHG emissions and are developing a plan of action to reduce them. The greenhouse gas emissions include CO2 arising from using office spaces, travel movements and energy consumption in our projects in progress.

Our journey towards reducing our environmental impact is guided by a clear CO2 Emission Inventory combined with an Action Plan. This plan, structured around the CO2-Performance Ladder Level 3 certification, maps out our path to a more sustainable and carbon-neutral future.

Our Sustainability Goals

Starting Point - 2022 Emissions: In 2022, GreenSoil Group emitted a total of 182.84 tons of CO2-equivalents. This figure serves as our baseline for measuring future reductions and improvements.

Towards Net-Zero by 2050: Our vision is to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
To make this vision a reality, we've set significant milestones:
- A 42% reduction in our emissions by 2030, from our 2022 baseline, conform “Paris Climate Agreement & SBTI.
- Achieving full carbon neutrality by 2050, conform “European Green Deal”

CO2 Emission Inventory 2022: Divsion into three scopes

Understanding and managing these three scopes allows organizations to comprehensively assess their carbon footprint and implement effective strategies to reduce their overall greenhouse gas emissions.

Scope 1: Direct Emissions
Emissions from sources that are owned or controlled by the organization.

Scope 2: Indirect Emissions from Energy
Emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, steam, heating, and cooling consumed by the organization.

Scope 3: Other Indirect Emissions
Emissions that occur as a result of the organization’s activities but from sources not owned or directly controlled by the organization.

Our Strategy: Action Plan 2022-2030

Electrifying our fleet: We are transitioning to a fully electric fleet, significantly cutting emissions from our primary source: vehicle transport.

Green Energy adoption: Our commitment extends to using and advocating for renewable energy sources within our operations and among our partners.

Enhancing Energy Efficiency: Across all our projects and offices, we're implementing measures to improve energy efficiency, from LED lighting to high-efficiency heating and cooling systems.

Progress

First steps have been implemented successfully resulting in a reduction of the carbonfootprint of 10% in 2023.

Transparency and Accountability

We rigorously track and report our emissions, ensuring transparency and accountability to our stakeholders and the wider community. Our reporting and reduction strategies areunder the strict guidelines of the CO2-Performance Ladder methodology, demonstrating our commitment to genuine sustainability

Sustainability is an evolving target. We're committed to adapting, improving, and expanding our strategies to ensure we meet our ambitious goals.
